Frontline, an oil tanker shipping company, will pay a special dividend of $1.750 on Oct 24th if you own the stock at market opening on Wednesday, October 10. That’s 3.5% of the share price of $50.010. This follows the sale of FRO 16.55 pct stake in heavy lift spin-off Dockwise. Frontline will announce the tax treatment of this dividend shortly at http://www.frontline.bm/IR/tax_treatment.shtml. This interim dividend will, in combination with the relative weak spot market in the third quarter, reduce the normal dividend for third quarter of 2007.
