ARKR ex-dividend on 1/22 (10%, special)
Ark Restaurants will pay a special dividend of $3.35 on February 1 to holders as of Monday, January 22. That’s 9.8% of the share price of $34.130. The dividend actually includes ARKR regular Q4 dividend of 35 cents per share. The special dividend stems from the sale of its Lutece and Tsunami facilities inside the Venetian resort in Las Vegas earlier this month. Otherwise, the operator of two dozen stand-alone restaurants and casino dining facilities closed out fiscal 2007 in unspectacular fashion, with flat sales and a big drop in comps. Don’t get long too long.

I went to a couple and although good dining place, I felts their price point was too high for the food, even for Vegas.

Peter Lynch never used to buy stocks of products that he liked. If you like something that doesn’t mean you should own it. ARKR is a thinly traded stock and $3 drop will take some time to recover .
