The British mobile-phone giant will pay a regular Semi-annual dividend of about $0.60 on August 4 to holders as of Wednesday, June 7. It is also planning a special dividend for August (in the form of a B share spin off for non-ADR holders), to be declared probably at the AGM on June 25. The news seemed to cushion the loss of $41 billion (due to one-time charges) posted by Vodafone. Vodafone traditionally pays an “interim” dividend in February and a “final” dividend in August.
